Med Links Search - Powerful search engine. Note that this engine only searches titles and descriptions of articles/links NOT their contents. If a query cannot be found, try searching under its broader term. e.g. for "gabapentin", search for "drug information database" instead; and for "vancomycin" try "parenteral manual".

Some Applications of RPhWorld:

Finding information about a drug. Go to Drug Information Database, click on Drug Information Datasheets, if a brief monograph of a drug is all that is needed. For more detailed information of a drug, such as the clinical trials that have proven efficacy in certain indication, RxList Drug Information can be used.

Checking for interactions of a list of patient's drugs. Go to Drug Interaction folder, click on one of the links, such as Drug Drug and Drug Food Interactions which gives detail explanation of the type of interaction, the severity, and the management tips. If a brief explanation is suffice, then Drugs.com - Drug Interaction Guide can be used instead.

Checking if a drug can be used in renal insufficient patient and whether dosage adjustment is necessary. Go to Renal Dosing and click on Drug Prescribing in Renal Failure: Dosing Guidelines for Adults. Most drugs that need adjustment should be in this database. Otherwise, one can check Renal Impairment - WHO Model Formulary. Although this site does not specify how to adjust the dose when adjustment is necessary.

Information about a parenteral drug such as dilution and compatibility. Go to Parenteral Therapy category. A number parenteral manuals are available. Under the same category, there is a site which allows for checking of syringe compatibility of common drugs, Syringe Compatibility of Parenteral Drugs.
Pharmacists can also use this site for meeting Continuing Education requirement under Pharmacist's Contiuing Education. New CE modules are added to the site on regular basis.

Under each link to a website, there is the word "Hits" with a number following it. This is the number of times that a site has been visited by pharmacists since it was added. Sites with most hits tend to be those those that pharmacists find most useful.

Links can be sorted by popularity (i.e. by the number of hits). Look for "Sort Links by: Title / Popularity
Links currently sorted by: Title (A to Z)" at the top of an expanded category. Clicking on Popularity will sort the links by placing the most popular ones at the top of the page.
